My favorite word is “Exquisiteness”.
It means something that is balanced, profoundly beautiful, well designed, something like this. It means something that is so beautiful that it is beyond words.
So yeah, Exquisiteness would be my favorite word. I really love many exquisite things.
So what is it that makes this word special? I don’t know, it just implies to me the subtle beauty of the Universe, or something like that.
One of the most exquisite activities out there is dancing, singing and music in general. Also the natural world is exquisite to me, all kinds of beautiful things to be found there.
Exquisite Symmetry
Many people find symmetry to be very exquisite, and I have something to show you…
This one right here for example really stands out to me as something really exquisite. There’s just something about this symbol, that really stands out and my mind really appreciates it.
I would really want to have it as a print in my house for example. Maybe if I get rich one day, I will buy one such object for myself to enjoy, just for it’s aesthetic.
Did Someone Say Aesthetic?
So Exquisiteness comes down to aesthetics, I think.
If we look at this model once again;
So basically there’s this notion of Aesthetic in the hierarchy of needs here. So might that imply that we have a need for aesthetically pleasing experiences quite high up there?
I think it does imply that and we should all be surrounded by beauty and beautiful things. That’s one reason to have art or some flowers in your house, right?
Since It Looks Good
Just for being aesthetically pleasing some objects have huge value. Think about a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, right? Those are visually pleasing cars and their value is mostly based on their looks. That really is something to think about, people are willing to pay hundreds of thousands for them, which is insane to me.
Ikigai Is Exquisite
For me writing this blog is exquisite in it’s simplicity. It’s related to my Ikigai which is this Japanese notion of a life well lived. You’re basically doing a thing that you like to do, get paid for and it’s productive for other people as well. So it’s really an optimization of the soul in this way to do our Dharma, I could say.
So Dharma is the natural way of things and I think it’s related to us being like servants of God in a way, right?
So for me, writing this blog could be one example of being of service. With text as a medium, I am really able to share my thoughts, ideas and talents to the world and I can really make an impact to people. So that’s why I am writing this right now and it makes me happy that I am able to do this in a professional fashion, too.
Do You Love Ikigai Too?
So I would like to hear from you, do you also like the concept and practice of Ikigai and have you done it lately?
It’s important that we stay close to the thing that makes us feel alive, right? For me it’s definitely writing because it’s so simple, it’s like walking down the street only using a computer to do so.
So yeah. I’ve been a computer user and a little bit of a nerd ever since I got my first computer at around 4 years old, or even younger than that. So using a computer to work makes total sense to me, and I really enjoy it, it’s simple and artistic and I still have a lot to develop in this area. Although I’ve already used a computer for 10 000 hours, there’s still so much to learn going into these new areas of interest.
Stay Close To What Makes You Feel Alive
This teaching comes from I believe, Hafez who is one of the most beloved poets from Persia, he lived hundreds of years ago and his poetry left a big impact on the culture there and all around the world.
His whole thing was to stay close to what makes you feel alive, if I recall correctly it was from him, Hafez is also known as ‘The Tongue of the Unknown’, which is a super cool nickname that they have given him.
Apparently he lived a legendary life and ultimately discovered Truth about God, Love and Life.
So we will surely be talking about him and his mystical poetry in the future. I still have to read his Divan of Poems tho, I actually bought a version which was in Arabic, however, so that’s kind of ironic because I do not speak Arabic, at least yet. I would love to learn that language though, I think it sounds cool and I really love how the letters look. It’s such a beautiful language.
So Hafez was this exquisite person apparently, a true rogue, from what I’ve heard. Richard Rudd explains more in this video.
Staying Fond
So it’s so cool somehow and those talks by Richard really made a difference in my life when I heard them. The Ecstatics is this cool artistic series of monologues set to music about people who’s life was moved by Love somehow. And I do believe that Love is the reason why the Universe exists. It’s ultimately the Loving Creation of God.
So I really love that kind of stuff and somehow Richard does an amazing job explaining it. So the Ecstasy of Fondness is this energy that Hafez had, he would be the kind of guy that if you were having a bad day and were in a grumpy mood, he could just say the right thing to snap you out of your bad mood and make you laugh!
That’s INCREDIBLE
That really is incredible to me as a parent because it reminds me of my son and how he knows pretty much nothing. So he’s this rebellious young man at one point probably so I just want to be a great dad to him.
So that’s what life is all about in the end, it’s about humor, poetry, having a good time and enjoying your life to the fullest.
Do you agree though?
The Quest for Truth
So that made me go into a little bit of a quest for truth and I discovered these exquisite masters of poetry and that really made me want to be a similar influence to people in my life.
So I’ve been a yogi and I am really interested also in stuff like poetry, as a songwriter and music maker, poetry is one of those life hacks to put you in a great mood when making beautiful art, right?
So I am an artist also create visual art these days and writing, etc.
Being an artist is one of those cool things about life that you wouldn’t think make such a huge difference but it really is one of the best things about life to gain a divine inspiration due to art for example.
Hafez primarily wrote in the literary genre of lyric poetry or ghazals, which is the ideal style for expressing the ecstasy of divine inspiration in the mystical form of love poems. He was a Sufi.

The Ecstasy of Divine Inspiration
So that’s what I am also all about, being divinely inspired as an artist and really am looking forward to some cool creations coming up sooner or later.
That is a really exquisite thing, I think.
So remember to get inspired divinely, friends.
