Album Review / Gryffin – PULSE

Gryffin – PULSE

Okay let’s get this review going.

This is my second album review of the series and like said in the last post, I am trying to make 100 of these for starters.

Gryffin is a great musician for sure and I haven’t yet listened to this album earlier, but my hopes are really high for it.

Loving the syncopated piano in ENEMIES.

What Genre Is It?

This could be called pop sensible electro house or something. It sounds house-y and I think that it’s a four on the floor beat going on too, so probably this is electro house. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Really liking how the second song is sounding.

Actually on this album it seems so that every song is a collab too and most of these musicians are new to me so that’s always cool.

Always Cool

Gryffin made a really good impression on me with his last album before this one and I do think that he deserves to win a Grammy if he yet hasn’t.

So Alive was a great album too so my hopes are high for this one.

Nice sound I imagine the live gigs must be pretty awesome.

I am liking this album so far really much. It features many collabs which is a great idea for marketing since 1+1 is like 3 in the music industry. The more the merrier, you could say.

Sounds great, good effort put into this one and really enjoying the vocals and different instruments in this one.

So this album features like more than 10 musicians which is really cool and gives it that variance which is cool for an album like this.

WHERE ARE YOU TONIGHT sounds great.

Sounds Great

Loving the instrument choice in this and it creates this upbeat sound in WHERE ARE YOU TONIGHT so really liking it.

What can you say, it’s a really engaging album if you listen to it and a new style of music for me.

Got to give it a rating of 5/5

5/5

Definitely deserves 5 stars.

I am really enjoying it.

That Melody Tho

Sonar Heart sounds huge and probably hits hard on a PA setup too.

What a tune!!

Great great album and it definitely isn’t a boring listen at all. Really well done, Gryffin and friends.

WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG is featuring Armin van Buuren and an unknown vocalist and I got to say this is one of my favorite tunes of the whole album. It’s so emotional and really catchy, great work on that!!

Especially the arpeggio is great and the lyrics are top notch.

Makes me wonder what kind of production techniques he uses. Definitely all artists can learn quite a bit from Gryffin and the posse who created this album, it’s really a skilled creation and a pleasant experience.

It’s euphoric and uplifting and I am liking it a lot.

No wonder Gryffin is a very popular musician these days, he really is a skilled producer and DJ.

As I am listening to the last song, it’s a really pleasant experience and I am giving this album a rating of 5/5.

5/5

Awesome album and definitely going to give this another listen at some point and hoping to hear it in the radio perhaps too, probably should be playing at some point if the radio DJ is also a fan.

Great pop sensibility and awesome vibes on this album and reminds me of last summer already. This album is it’s weight worth in gold.

Thanks for tuning in and see you soon!
