Living Easefully

What could be a more worthy state of being than living with a sense of ease, constantly?

There are numerous books written on this subject, and for good reason. Living with a sense of ease would to me, be the manifestation of Divine Grace.

Many techniques exist to boost this state of awareness and consciousness. Yoga, meditation, etc. The list is endless.

Grounded In The Body

If we ground ourselves in our body and our breathing is deep and calm, we might experience a serene state known as Samadhi.

These days stress is the number one reason for sickness, so the number one healer might just be to be at ease with whatever is happening.

That’s a radical notion in itself, since sometimes situations are difficult, I very much am aware of this and have experienced it myself, too.

Strengthening The Energy Body

So the way to strengthen The Energy Body is to be with anything that is moving through us. Just breathing and doing nothing is often the solution, and perhaps a glass of water can be helpful, I believe if we’re stressed out we might also be dehydrated at the same time.

One thing I am sure of is that we ought to remind ourselves that whatever we’re going through, is ultimately okay and a part of nature and it’s processes.

Everything Is A Blessing

And ultimately we can start to see things as a blessing, to see everything as a blessing is a state that we can achieve through efforts in Yoga for example.

According to the science of Yoga, there are limbs to Yoga which are;

Patanjali‘s classification of classical yoga, as set out in his Yoga Sutras. He defined the eight limbs as yamas (abstinences), niyama (observances), asana (posture), pranayama (breathing), pratyahara (withdrawal), dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation) and samadhi (absorption).

So maybe you’ve read The Yoga Sutras or maybe not but in that legendary book Patanjali talks about the different ways to practice Yoga and what it means for a human to be a Yogi.

For me it means to live wild and be a free, sentient being that does no harm to other beings, doesn’t hurt others but otherwise, lives completely free, which is in accordance to the laws of the universe.

What Is A Yogic Lifestyle All About?

So a Yogic Lifestyle might be all about making life the celebration that it is. The ultimate purpose of Yoga is to live a joyful existence, and even transcend life and death, through an alchemical process.

So the yogi ultimately becomes free from the notion of Death, is what I am trying to say, and reincarnation is something that should and could be deeply contemplated in my view.

For example if you feel like your yoga practice isn’t taking off, maybe focus on just two aspects from that illustration of the limbs of yoga.

For example you might want to practice alternate nostril breathing or other pranayama for a while, like a few minutes at least and perhaps do a meditation sit and be in silence for 30 minutes. But to each his or her own, of course.

So yeah be sure to read Yoga Sutras if you want to learn more.

The Importance of Samadhi

Samadhi is depicted in the upmost corner of that illustration of the 8 limbs. I think that must symbolize it’s importance in the art and science of Yoga.

Yoga is a tradition that is thousands of years old, and it’s a truly beautiful thing in my opinion. How come people have come up with such a beautiful tradition of spiritual freedom and worldly power?

Because Yoga, when done correctly, will give us both. Spiritual freedom, and material power in the world.

It was kept a secret tradition, only taught to initiates for a very long time for this very reason, because in wrong hands it could have meant even bad things.

So it was an occult science almost. Some of the great masters of Yoga are Patanjali, Kshemaraja, Abhinavagupta, etc.

Those are just some masters that I know of.

The History of Yoga

So Yoga, I am not sure at all when it got started but it really is one of the most beautiful traditions that humanity has conceived of and it really implies something beautiful about humanity.

Why did humans come up with spirituality in the first place? Why was Yoga invented? These are some of the questions that scholars think are interesting, I think.

What are the core teachings of Yoga and what are the optimal ways to practice it?

This is one of the reasons for this project of mine, to study the nature of spiritual liberation and living well.

The Beauty of the Tradition

True Yoga can be so mind-blowing that we might even cry tears of divine ecstasy. This is what I want to show to people.

To live a yogic lifestyle is to live in happiness so deep and beyond the mind that it’s hard to comprehend.

It’s a deep happiness and a knowing about the nature of the universe as this mystical and beautiful place that we get to experience.

No wonder they call Tantra the way of Eternal Bliss, because it truly is so.

To live a yogic lifestyle is to be open to divine grace and living with an expansive feeling of joy, wonder and awe.
