I still remember those nights in my hometown, back when I was still a little bit younger and getting started with reading the works of Christopher “Hareesh” Wallis.
I read his books and went outside and looked at the world a little bit differently. What he taught about love and the universe had left a profound impact on me.
I listened to his books as audio and I really should say that it’s hard to explain what really happened. He talks about consciousness waking up for the benefit of all beings.
I have to mention also Richard Rudd, his work deeply touched me a little bit later.
They’re both like householder Yogis who do business also and they have both created really incredible art that I am in awe of.
I’ve laughed my face off with them, through their books and other content.
I’ve cried, too. All kinds of stuff happen when you get really into these masterpieces of writing that they’ve made. So I wanted to make this post in tribute, and to express my exaltation.
I fondly remember walking around that small town in Eastern Finland, Mikkeli, where I’m from and looking at everything as if seeing it for the first time. Pondering what Love is.
I went into this trance like state. I started to see things in a novel way somehow.
Ineffable Experiences
So I walked around and it was like playing an incredible video game or so. It was a warm summer night and I was just walking around being really meditative, if you know what I am saying.
Then I kept walking and really laughed. It’s just something about them as writers, they’re like Don Juan in a way, just great teachers and really know what they’re talking about.
That’s how I came up with this idea of Nights with the Yogi. I might want to make it into a book later. Just had these really incredible experiences through the works of other people, and it really motivates me to do more of my own work, just for those who are interested for real.
Indeed these experiences are hard to describe and I am still working on articulating these things, so bear with me.
