Singing Sacred Songs

When life challenges us, to me that is the time to sing a song. I have this weird spiritual connection to music and aesthetical things. I often like to have objects that represent things to me, for example a painting that means something or a flower that represents the beauty of life and just anything found in nature like cool stones and different pieces of art and I consider myself a collector these days of beautiful stuff.

When We Are Faced With Hardship

So I am trying to say something here and I am not sure if I am the only one but I really understood this through reading Carlos Castaneda back in the day when it was recommended to me.

I have to say, that book changed my life. They had this deep quest in their life of becoming Men of Knowledge, Carlos and Don Juan and all the other shamans of the group.

They saw immense things that can not be comprehended and survived through very dire situations and I believe singing was a way for Don Juan to release the pressure, as was humor, he was apparently a very humorous man, I remember Carlos saying that Don Juan laughed so hard that it hurt his stomach. Just the irony of the situation was too much to handle.

And one of the reasons why we get now to enjoy for example the work of Carlos, is that he was a writer, so that really inspired me to begin my own writing project and I want to also write about my spiritual journey.

Spiritual Journey

I have a deep connection to the work of some people out there and I would like to express my gratitude and I will mention some of my most important mentors and role models in the future more.

That’s one of the reasons that makes me want to wake up in the morning and something that makes me excited, is to touch other people through my work as deep as I’ve been touched by the works of others. That really is my spiritual connection to humanity.

So That’s Why I’m A Writer, Okay?

So yeah thought I’d share these things and this is why I think we are in a new renaissance because of the internet. There can be a lot said in the internet and the reach can be huge.

And even if the reach isn’t huge, producing work is still something that is worth pursuing. To be honest, writing this blog post doesn’t feel like hard work if we’re thinking of it in the traditional sense of blood sweat and tears. To be honest, no blood, no sweat and no tears right now.

Just me enjoying the process of writing and being inspired to begin a new chapter in my life with this new project of mine.

If My Life Can Be Changed, So Can Theirs (Or Yours)

So some writers and YouTubers and people all around me have left a big influence on me and most of these people I’ve not met in person anyway.

But we’re still friends through the internet and that to me is meaningful and if you think about it, it’s like magic. We’re using these machines to communicate with each other, it really is nothing short of a magic trick, if you think about it.

It’s like your favorite song being played, the feeling is similar.

For example this piece of art represents The Pirates of Yoga.

Which is from a mentor of mine, Richard Rudd, who said that humans are like mystics, pirates and poets.

So that really made a difference to me, in my life.

So thanks Richard for always sharing your wise thoughts with us, where would I be without you, my friend.

Just To Add

They had this weird culture, Carlos and his crew in Sonora, Mexico where it was probably quite challenging from time to time to live in. And they made all that fun about the Petty Tyrants who torment us.

So if you’re looking for humor, look no further than The Petty Tyrants.

Or those people who like to bully others and love conflict, right?
